Medicaid Buy-in for Workers with Disabilities
Medicaid Buy-In for Workers with Disabilities (MBIWD) is an Ohio Medicaid program that provides health care coverage to working Ohioans with disabilities. This is a great resource for people who would like to work. Historically, people with disabilities were often discouraged from working because their earnings made them ineligible for Medicaid coverage. MBIWD was created to enable Ohioans with disabilities to work and still keep their health care coverage.

Ticket To Work Progam
Social Security’s Ticket to Work program supports career development for Social Security disability beneficiaries age 18 through 64 who want to work. The Ticket program is free and voluntary. The Ticket program helps people with disabilities progress toward financial independence.

The Center for Self-Determination
The Center for Self-Determination is a non-profit organization, established in 2000, operating as the primary clearinghouse, training and technical assistance source on Self-Determination in the United States and other countries. The Center is devoted to working within the public and private sector to move power and authority over resources directly to individuals with disabilities, families and allies.
The National Gateway to Self-Determination
The National Gateway to Self-Determination is a consortium of five primary University Centers on Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs) and the Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD).The overall goal of the NGSD is to establish a sustainable, evidence-based training system that enhances self-determination training programs that lead to a better quality of life.
